• Private Cloud: "VMware as a service Cloud solutions" available in 30 minutes"
The OVH range of externalized and entirely dedicated cloud solutions based on VMware technologies takes a new step in development. Now called “Private Cloud”, it proposes two types of offers, “Dedicated Cloud” and “SDDC” (Software Defined Data Center) to respond to new expectations of users in terms of hardware configurations and “Cloud” integration for their “as a service” needs. •OVH gives a boost to its international expansion
That was one of the key moments of the Summit : OVH will invest 1.5 billion euros over the next 5 years to finance its international development. With 20 datacenters today, the OVH network will grow up to 27 by the end of next year. 3 new datacenters have recently opened their doors in Singapore, Warsaw and Sydney.
Exclusive launch offers called entitled "Discover OVH" are available in limited quantity.
To support this international growth, KKR and TowerBrook will acquire a minority stake in OVH for 250 million euros of growth capital (Read the press release). This will allow OVH to take advantage of the rapidly expanding market for cloud and internet infrastructure service, while also broadening its customer base and services in new geographies. The Klaba family will retain the majority stake in the company and will continue, together with OVH management, to lead the company, its strategy and operations.
•OVH chooses Virginia to open its US headquarters and first datacenter
The news has been made in early October by Governor Terry McAuliffe. OVH has committed to invest $47 million which will eventually help to create more than 50 jobs in the region. Read more
•Official launch of OVH Toronto
With CEO Laurent Allard in attendance, OVH officially arrived in the country’s economic capital on October 24. This initiative will allow the company to be closer to its growing client base in Ontario and continue its North American expansion plan. Read the press release.
•BHS datacenter featured in the latest IDC report
A major market intelligence firm, IDC has named OVH a Leader in datacenter operations and management in Canada. The conclusions of the report match the growing ambitions of OVH in the country, highlighting its unique business model and technological approach, from designing to managing datacenters. As a new generation Hackathon, the Cooperathon highlights innovative ideas in the areas of FinTech, Healthcare and Smart Cities, in order to foster the development of high quality projects on the Canadian and international markets.
