New areas for the OVH Public Cloud
Advantages and opportunities
OVH is continuing to expand globally by opening up new areas for its Public Cloud product offering: WAW1 in Warsaw (Poland), DE1 in Frankfurt (Germany), or UK1 in London (UK).
The OVH Public Cloud is only a few milliseconds away
At OVH, we know the importance a millisecond can have. Above all, hosting resources in a datacentre close to you means that you get a significantly lower latency. This will, in turn, allow you to allocate resources closer to your end users.
Deploy your infrastructure across various datacentres
Distributing your applications across various locations might be a good solution in certain cases. It is a great way to strengthen your infrastructure while balancing its load, or replicating instances over various datacentres during a disaster recovery plan (DRP).
And this can be managed very easily through your OVH Control Panel interface.
Compliance with local laws
OVH global expansion means that you can now host your data and applications where your customers are located, in datacentres compliant with local laws.
Since protecting and securing our customers' data is at the heart of OVH's values, we are increasing initiatives along these lines:
- OVH has co-written and implemented the code of conduct for Cloud Infrastructure Service Providers in Europe (CISPE);
- OVH is reinforcing its commitment in terms of protecting personal data with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a European regulation that will come into effect on 25th May, 2018.
