Any natural or legal person may register a .film domain name if he or she meets at least one of the following criteria:
Member of the film industry
The applicant must be associated with the film industry. They may be a natural person or legal person who fits into one of the following two criteria:
The applicant is actively involved in the film industry (e.g. producers, distributors, sales agents, studios, directors, writers, photographers, technicians, actors, press, film festivals, associations); or
The applicant provides products or services to the film industry (e.g. lawyers, agents, PR and marketing firms, financiers, designers, equipment suppliers, domain registrars, IT and hosting providers).
Connection between the applicant and the registered domain name
The applicant's domain name must be closely connected to their activity in the film industry.
For example:
The domain name must be the applicant’s organisation or personal name; a good or service that the applicant provides; an event that the applicant organises...
Where the domain name being applied for matches a film title exactly, then the applicant must be the rights holder of the applied for film title.

via the "my products" section.
If the domain name is not renewed in time, it will go into the redemption period.

During this time, the owner will be able to reactivate it
directly on this page.
Once the redemption period has expired, the domain name will be definitely deleted and will be available for purchase again.
If you have automatic renewal, your domain will be automatically renewed before the expiry date. You will have the option of cancelling your automatic renewal two months before your domain name expires.
Warning emails 60, 30, 15, 7 and 3 days before the expiry date:
Email the day of expiration for notification of suspension of a domain name.
Email following the Redemption Grace Period for notification of deletion of domain name.
To transfer your domain name to OVH, you must contact your registrar in order to get the authentication code and unlock your domain.
You should then go directly to this page to complete the transfer.
You can change the domain name owner directly, via your
Control Panel
. Go to the "Administration" section, then "Manage contacts". You can also make this change via the procedure detailed here.
Restoration of your domain name in .film

The domain name owner can initiate a reactivation
by making a request to support.
Note: This is only possible when the domain name is still in its redemption period.
